 | Ideal for NDT training units "TRAK" is a free-running portable device,operating under the PC link. Computational resource is implemented in PC, "TRAK" provides only the program-driven Receiver/Pulser and the clipboard (i.e. acoustic channel). | The operator sets the necessary testing parameters on PC, using the application software (which is delivered with the device) and performs setting of the acoustic channel by frequency, amplitude and form of probing signal. Then the prepared data is transmitted into "TRAK" as an algorithmic testing instruction or as set of instructions. It this regard, "TRAK" is a universal NDT acoustic device that allows the creation of different types of non-destructive testing equipment: Flaw Detectors, Structure Examiners and Thickness Gauges, providing the known ultrasonic testing methods: - Echo;
- Echo-shadow;
- Echo-mirror;
- Shadow;
- Pitch and catch;
- Resonance and other.
The availability of a documented PC interaction protocol enables the user to develop own testing procedures and applications. "TRAK" allows the use of any types of transducers: dual pulse-echo, single pulse-echo, with integrated coils and without them. Due to the flexibility in setting of the parameters for outgoing signal and receiver, "TRAK" possesses the unique capabilities of use in scientific researches of signal characteristics, probes, acoustic properties of materials and the development of specialized testing methods. In order to control the external technological equipment, the front panel is provided with a jack for TTL-level signals. Along with "TRAK", the "Slider" mechanical coordinate system (specialized coordination device) is used; it is intended for the automatic determination of defect area coordinates (X,Y). |  | | | | Applications - Ultrasonic imaging, structure examination, thickness gauging;
