Contact - classified by the acoustic contact method, angle beam transducers - by the method of acoustic waves introduction; single-element transducers use a single piezoelectric element for both pitch and catch echoed ultrasonic signal. This type of transducers is used for ultrasonic inspection of metal structures, welded and soldered joints of pipes, and other structures.

A contact transducers with the single piezoelectric element with a right angle of input of the probe pulse, as apulserand receiver.
The contact single element transducers are intended for detection of internal defects (pores, fissures, delamination, etc.) in the metal constructions, as well as low-alloy and austenitic steels.

Ground-in probes - the contact surface of the transducer has a cylindrical shape along the radius that coincides with the controlled object (pipe, shaft, etc.), they are used to detect internal defects of pipes, and to search for local thinning in the pipe walls, including from low-alloy and austenitic steels.

Working frequency: 5,0 MHz; dimensions: 50x20x26 mm; pipe parameters: Ø28-Ø57, thickness: 3-3,5 mm

In cases if universal ultrasonic piezoelectric transducers do not provide required measurement accuracy, specialized chord transducers are applied. These transducers are designed for high-precision inspection of weldjoints in pipelines. Vibrationfrequency and the chord transducerposition are selected so that the ultrasonic field covers the entire thickness of the pipe wall, and its focus is in the central part of seam.

Chord transducers manufactured by SPK "TECHNOVOTUM" Ltd. are compatible with flaw detectors by other manufacturers. Calibration is done on reference blocks with an end hole. Customized transducers are available.
